AGM & HIWC 8th ANNIVERSARY
Annual General Meeting 2026 & 8th Anniversary
Our AGM brought together almost 20 attendees—both long-standing members and some wonderful new faces who recently joined our club. The meeting was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our achievements, set ambitious goals for the year ahead, and celebrate a significant milestone: the 8th anniversary of our club. During the meeting, we unanimously elected our new executive board for the 2026 term:
- President: Juliah Rais-Morres
- Vice president: Beth Herzhauser
- Treasurer: Mary Manning
Congratulations on their election! Thank you for your dedication and commitment to continue leading our club forward.
As President, Juliah provided an overview of the club’s past achievements and an exciting look at what’s ahead in 2026. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear about our club’s performance report in 2025—covering finances, membership, activities, charities, and FAWCO. Thanks to insightful reports from Marelie, Ginny, Ulrike and Yewande. For a small club, we can truly be proud of all we have accomplished! A highlight of the event was the announcement of the 2026 Barbara Belosa Volunteer of the Year Award. This year’s recipient is Nora Glöggler, recognized for her tireless dedication and contributions as our Social Media coordinator who now has stepped down in January. Congratulations, Nora, on this well-deserved honor!
After the meeting, the rest of the afternoon buzzed with lively conversation, inspiring ideas, and a warm sense of community, all enjoyed over coffee and birthday cake. These moments remind us how much we have grown together and how vibrant and strong our club has become. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us—your enthusiasm, commitment, and support mean the world to us. We are looking forward to another inspiring year with all our valued members.
