We had such a lovely, festive time celebrating #ChristmasBaking with the children at the Caritas refugee shelter! The kitchen was filled with laughter, excitement, and the delicious smell of freshly baked treats as the kids rolled up their sleeves and got busy baking chocolate chip cookies and classic cut-out butter cookies. Best of all, they were so proud to share their creations with friends and family.
All of the baking ingredients were generously donated by HIWC members, making this joyful afternoon possible, and each child was delighted to receive a chocolate Santa, also donated by HIWC—a sweet surprise that brought lots of smiles.
A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful volunteers, Ayse, Balbina, Marwa, and Ulrike, whose energy, warmth, and enthusiasm truly made the day special. It was an afternoon full of fun, togetherness, and holiday cheer—one that perfectly captured the spirit of the season. 🎄🍪
