An Evening of Solo Piano Music and Stories by Robin Meloy Goldsby
Robin Meloy Goldsby returns to Heidelberg with an all-new program of music, light, and laughter. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes moving, and always insightful, Goldsby’s lyrical stories reveal the triumphs and trials of an expatriate life, as she connects her music to family, friends, and home, past and present.
Robin Meloy Goldsby's solo piano career began in posh New York City venues and exclusive Nantucket resorts, and has taken her to the European castles, five-star hotels, and concert stages where she now performs. Following the release of her first two solo piano albums and the publication of her hit book, Piano Girl, Robin appeared on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered and Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland. Robin has been on the prestigious Steinway Artist roster since 2010.
Robin’s solo piano music—transparent, effortless, and spellbinding—lures her listeners to a place that feels like home. With seven solo piano albums to her name, Robin uses her music and stories to serve as a cultural ambassador for European organizations dedicated to transatlantic relations. In 2017, she played her Home & Away program at Buckingham Palace for HRH, the Prince of Wales and his organization In Kind Direct. She has performed original music for Chancellor Angela Merkel and former Chancellor Helmut Schmidt; numerous US consulates in Europe; Amerika Haus NRW; Steinway & Sons, worldwide; and the NGO International Women’s Forum at the United Nations in Geneva.
“Goldsby has a wicked sense of humor and a keen eye for the absurd. Big hearted, funny, truly eye-opening memoir.” Publisher Weekly Starred Review

About the Concert
Please join us at the Freie Musikschule in the Heidelberg Altstadt for the hour and a half program, free-flowing wine, and a late summer evening on the balcony.
All proceeds benefit a fund at the National Centre for Tumor Diseases (NCT) in Heidelberg in late HIWC Member Barbara Bellosa’s name. Barbara passed away in November 2018 after a long battle with cancer, and she and her family benefited from the donation-sponsored projects that supported patients and their families. In addition, this fundraiser aligns with the launch of the current FAWCO Target Program Cycle focusing on Health and brings awareness to the need to support women and their families during critical health situations.
