FAWCO

The Heidelberg IWC is a proud Member Club of FAWCO. Together with Austria, Moldova and Slovakia, all the German clubs are part of Fawco Region 5. As a Member Club, our members can attend yearly conferences and regional meetings, have access to online resources and training, fundraise on a global scale for causes that we care about, apply for education awards and development grants, and much more. We are thrilled to be a part of this dynamic organization.

The FAWCO Foundation
FAWCO’s sister organisation, The FAWCO Foundation is a board-only team that supports the philanthropic goals of FAWCO by developing, administrating and fundraising for programs that improve the lives of women and children worldwide. It oversees fundraising for Education Awards, Development Grants, and the FAWCO Target projects.

FAWCO Target Program
In 2009, FAWCO and The FAWCO Foundation announced the Target Program to bring a critical global issue to the attention of FAWCO Clubs, their members and the world. The Target Program offers opportunities for local FAWCO Clubs to make a global difference.

Target Programs:
• Follow a three-year cycle of issue awareness and education, project selection, fundraising, project monitoring, review and evaluation.
• Demonstrate the power of FAWCO Clubs working together toward a common goal.
• Increase knowledge and awareness of global issues affecting women.

Current Target Program 2022-2025 - Environment
The Target Program Environment aims to bring awareness to Environmental Issues that affect us all. "Our Natural Environment: Empowering Women and Girls to Ensure a Sustainable Future" was selected as the theme for Project submissions.  After the project application and selection period concluded, the announcement of the next FAWCO Target Project Environment was made in Bratislava during the Biennial Conference in March 2023.
