VOLUNTEERING WITH COOKING FOR HOPE

Cooking for Hope is a local non-profit project founded in 2016 by our current HIWC President, Juliah Rais-Morres. Since 2018, our club has been supporting the charity's efforts to help refugees and unaccompanied minors by volunteering and donating household items.

Our members support their catering services at fundraising events in Heidelberg and also take part in monthly cooking sessions at the Caritas refugee shelter in Hardtstrasse, Heidelberg-Kirchheim.

In March 2024, the HIWC took over the costs for 3 used bicycles that were needed by the young people who live in the refugee shelter in Henkel-Teroson-Strasse, Heidelberg-Pfaffengrund.
